Bergdoktor & Film

Explore the most beautiful filming locations at the Wilder Kaiser around the theme Bergdoktor and Co.

The Bergdoktor has been filmed in the Wilder Kaiser region since 2007 and is now broadcast in many different countries.

The Bergdoktor and the Wilder Kaiser simply belong together - for example, the filmic "Gruberhof", the Bergdoktor's home, is located on the Söller Bromberg. Ellmau is home to the already famous Bergdoktor practice and the Föhrenhof, where the interior shots for the film guesthouse "Wilder Kaiser" are filmed. Going's village square plays a starring role in the Bergdoktor again and again, while in Scheffau it is above all Lake Hintersteiner that provides ideal natural backdrops.

The Gruberhof, situated on the sunny side of the Söller Bromberg at around 1,000 metres above sea level, is the parental mountain farm and the home of the Bergdoktor, his mother Elisabeth, his brother Hans and daughter Lilli in the film.

When the Bergdoktor team has not moved in, the farm is called Köpfing and belongs to the Mayr family, who also manage it.

The farmhouse and its panoramic breakfast terrace with a unique view of the entire Kaiser Mountains and the Hohe Salve have long since become a trademark of the TV series.
